Wanneer we internet gebruiken, hebben we met onregelmatige tussenpozen toegang tot grote hoeveelheden gegevens, maar externe sensoren verzenden met regelmatige tussenpozen kleine pakketjes met gegevens. In deze gevallen is 5G mobiel ideaal.<\/p>\n<p>Ontworpen voor communicatie met hoge snelheid, hoge capaciteit en lage latentie, is 5G geschikt voor geavanceerde IoT-toepassingen die realtime responsiviteit en grote gegevensoverdrachten vereisen. Het ondersteunt dichte netwerken van apparaten, wat van cruciaal belang is in stedelijke gebieden of industri\u00eble omgevingen. Typische use cases zijn onder meer slimme steden (verkeersbeheer en openbare veiligheid), industri\u00eble IoT (automatisering en robotica) en autonome voertuigen (vehicle-to-everything-communicatie).<\/p>\n<p>Voor de meeste sensoren of apparaten die met het Internet of Things zijn verbonden, is echter minder dan 100 bpm nodig.<\/p>\n<p>In tegenstelling tot computers of smartphones verzenden veel IoT-apparaten, zoals ingebedde sensoren, met regelmatige tussenpozen kleine hoeveelheden gegevens. Deze apparaten werken vaak op afgelegen locaties zonder gemakkelijke toegang tot stroomvoorzieningen of traditionele communicatie-infrastructuur.<\/p>\n<p>LPWAN-technologie\u00ebn (Low-Power Wide-Area Network), zoals LoRa of Sigfox, zijn geoptimaliseerd voor langeafstandscommunicatie, lage datasnelheden en minimaal stroomverbruik. Dit maakt ze geschikt voor IoT-sensoren en apparaten die met regelmatige tussenpozen kleine datapakketten verzenden, ook vanaf afgelegen locaties of locaties die op batterijen werken.<\/p>\n<p>Toepassingen zijn onder meer slimme huiselektronica zoals aangesloten thermostaten, asset-tracking en slimme meters voor het monitoren van nutsvoorzieningen.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-2 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-five\" style=\"--awb-text-color:var(--awb-color8);--awb-margin-bottom:30px;--awb-margin-top-small:10px;--awb-margin-right-small:0px;--awb-margin-bottom-small:30px;--awb-margin-left-small:0px;--awb-margin-bottom-medium:30px;--awb-font-size:28px;\"><h5 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left\" style=\"font-family:&quot;Montserrat&quot;;font-style:normal;font-weight:500;margin:0;font-size:1em;line-height:1.3;\">Wat is het verschil tussen Sigfox en LoRa?<\/h5><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3 fusion-text-no-margin\" style=\"--awb-font-size:20px;--awb-line-height:1.5;--awb-text-transform:none;--awb-text-color:var(--awb-color8);--awb-margin-bottom:30px;--awb-text-font-family:&quot;Montserrat&quot;;--awb-text-font-style:normal;--awb-text-font-weight:400;\"><p>Op Sigfox en LoRa gebaseerde standaarden gebruiken een niet-gelicentieerde sub-GHz-band (868 MHz in Europa), die minder interferentie heeft dan andere protocollen. Op die frequenties kunnen signalen obstakels doordringen en lange afstanden afleggen terwijl ze relatief weinig stroom verbruiken \u2013 perfect voor IoT-apparaten, die vaak beperkt zijn door de levensduur van de batterij.<\/p>\n<p>Elke standaard gebruikt een andere techniek om het zendvermogen te minimaliseren en het bereik te maximaliseren. Sigfox maakt gebruik van de bekende BPSK-modulatietechniek en ultra-smalbandtechnologie om de signaalpenetratie te maximaliseren. Hij is geschikt voor een bereik van 3 tot 10 kilometer in de bebouwde kom of 30 tot 50 kilometer op het platteland.<\/p>\n<p>LoRa lijkt sterk op de Sigfox-technologie, maar maakt gebruik van spread-spectrumtechnologie om op verschillende frequenties en datasnelheden te verzenden, waardoor de gateway zich kan aanpassen aan veranderende omstandigheden en de manier kan optimaliseren waarop gegevens met elk apparaat worden uitgewisseld.<\/p>\n<p>Een belangrijk voordeel van deze op LPWAN gebaseerde technologie\u00ebn zijn de kosten (vooral als u meerdere apparaten heeft).<\/p>\n<p>Net als bij mobiele mobiele providers moet je een licentie hebben. Beide technologie\u00ebn hebben echter lage licentiekosten in vergelijking met traditionele mobiele netwerken, waardoor ze kosteneffectief zijn voor grootschalige implementatie van het Internet of Things.
